Sound Associates helps make St. Baldrick's fund raiser a success and help raise money for childhood cancer research.

Sound Associates, Inc. supplied the sound for the St. Baldrick's head shaving event March 2, 2008 at the Yonkers, NY armory and home of the Police Athletic League. St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. At St. Baldrick's events, brave volunteers have their heads shaved bald, raising funds for childhood cancer research. In eight years, events have taken place in 18 countries and 46 US states, raising over $34 million, and shaving more than 46,000 heads. This money funds grants to researchers and experts to find new and better cures for fighting childhood cancer.

Sound Associates supplied the front of house and monitor equipment and its technical expertise to the St. Baldrick's event held after the Yonkers St. Patrick's Day Parade. "This event would have never have been possible without the generous support of Richard Fitzgerald and the staff at Sound Associates, Inc." says Kelly Chiarella, chair person of the event.

In addition, Ted Annunziato, the nine year old son of Mark Annunziato (Vice President of Operations at Sound Associates) and Pete Ponga (Head of the fabrication shop at Sound Associates) were two of the shavees. Ted raised over $600.00 for this worthy cause.
